Navigate Prior Lake is a collaborative community approach to update the 2030 Comprehensive Plan through 2040 and beyond. The Comprehensive Plan is the guide that defines our vision and goals for both public and private investment in long-term development and redevelopment of the community. The plan is intended to shape land use and transportation patterns, identify needs for utilities, housing, parks and open space, and conserve natural resources.

Please join us and share your thoughts at the first Comprehensive Plan public Open House on Tuesday, March 28, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Club Prior Community Room (16210 Eagle Creek Ave. SE). Please see the event flyer.

Watch for Navigate Prior Lake updates on the City Facebook page and Twitter account.  For additional information about the Comprehensive Plan and the process, please contact Casey McCabe, Community Development Specialist at (952) 447-9815, or Jane Kansier at (952) 890-0509.  Sign up to receive regular updates on the Comprehensive Plan website

04-23-2017: Clean Water Clean-Up Event
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Sand Point Beach Park, 14349 Crest Avenue N.E.

Volunteers are needed for the Clean Water Clean-Up event at Sand Point Beach Park on Sunday, April 23, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  Help us keep Prior Lake clean by raking up leaves to keep excess nutrients out of Prior Lake. Too many nutrients running into the lake can cause algae blooms and harm wildlife and hinder lake recreation.  Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, lunch and be eligible to win prizes donated by many local businesses. Please pre-register for this free event.  The event is hosted by the Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District and the City of Prior Lake. The event is BYOR – bring your own rake.  For more information, call (952) 447-4166. Note: In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for April 30. Registered participants will receive an email and a notice will be posted on the PLSLWD website if the event is rescheduled.
