2018 Lakefront Days Medallion Hunt Begins July 14

The 17th Annual Medallion Hunt begins Saturday, July 14 with the first of six clues. This year's prize is $200. Clues will come out every Saturday and Wednesday until Aug. 1. Clues and rules can be found at the Medallion Hunt webpage, the Saturday paper edition of the Prior Lake American, Prior Lake American website, and the Chamber of Commerce Lakefront Days website.

The Medallion is hidden on public land including parks the City is responsible for maintaining. Please observe posted park hours. It is placed in a cardboard box and completely wrapped in duct tape, for protection. The duct tape wrap may be of any color or design including camouflage. It will not be placed inside any school, city or public facility including the Prior Lake Library, athletic buildings, concession stands or equipment sheds.

Once found, the Medallion must be brought to Assistant City Manager Lori Olson (952) 447-9802 at City Hall, 4646 Dakota St. SE. during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday) as soon as possible or it may be considered lost. All official Medallion Hunt websites will be updated as soon as the Medallion is found. The winner(s) will receive $200 and can participate in the annual Lakefront Days parade Saturday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. The winner(s) may also be utilized for media purposes.
